Monetary Weight Loss Incentive is Powerful!

World leading academics have discovered that cash rewards enhance the success of weight loss strategies. A weight loss plan is significantly more successful if financial incentive is introduced. Healthy Loser has adapted this knowledge by offering a cash reward for losing a minimum 15% body weight. The closer you get to your goals the higher the payout. JOIN TODAY!

Most people start out well with a well-meaning intention. They pay for a gym membership, start following a diet or buy running shoes.Somewhere down the line, the determination starts to wear off. “Let me have this cheeseburger today, I’ll resume my diet tomorrow.” “It’s so cold today. I’ll go running tomorrow.” These are only a few examples of real life scenarios reported by participants. That means the trouble is not with the intention but an incentive to keep you going on. Feeling good and looking sexy should be incentive enough, but because we have to use money every day to live, our minds react to the added cash incentive in a very effective way. Money has always proven to be a great motivator. The dollars at the end of the contest keep you on track with your plan. The $5,000 Weight Loss Challenge gives you the drive to see your way to your goal weight making it the best fast weight loss program for men and women. What makes Healthy Loser the best fast weight loss contest is that you get to choose your own weight loss strategy? Doubling the Incentive

One widely cited study published by the Journal of the American Medical Association (“JAMA”) found those who have a financial incentive to lose weight were almost five times more likely to reach their target than dieters with no money at stake. See Volpp, K.G., John, L.K., Troxel, A.B., Norton, L., Fassbender, J., and Loewenstein, G., “Financial Incentive-based Approaches for Weight Loss: A Randomized Trial,” Journal of the American Medical Association, 300(22), 2631-2637 (2008).

The JAMA study, conducted by researchers at Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania, divided a group of dieters (in the same weight loss program) into groups. One of the groups received no financial incentive. Another group received a double-incentive in the form of a cash weight loss bet. Each participant wagered up to $336. As a negative incentive, if the dieters failed to achieve their goal they lost the cash deposit. As a positive incentive, the dieters were offered a cash prize of up to three times their deposit if they achieved their weight loss goal.

The results were astounding. Dieters in the incentive group lost almost three times more weight than dieters in the non-incentive group, and dieters in the incentive group were almost five times more likely than dieters in the non-incentive group to achieve their weight loss goal.

What about keeping it off?

The biggest problem with most weight loss plans is that the weight tends to come back. Quick diets and heavy workouts do help people lose weight but do nothing to motivate them to adopt the healthy habit forever. People often ask us how they would keep the weight they have lost from coming back.

A widely publicized 2013 study by Mayo Clinic revealed that a well-designed incentive program produces outstanding, long-term success. The year-long Mayo study divided participants into two groups: one group had an opportunity to win money for losing weight and one group did not. Both groups were given extensive weight loss tips, reminders and web-based tools for weight loss.

The results were conclusive. The participants who received cash incentives were more likely to stick with the weight-loss program and lost more weight than participants who received no incentives. Researchers concluded that 62% of those in the incentive group lost weight, compared to only a 26% success rate in the non-incentive group.

Research shows that it takes 21 days to form a habit. 91 days takes care of habit formation 3 times over.
